As a Staff AI Engineer - Forward Deployed, you’ll sit at the tip of the spear. You won't just build AI models in isolation—you will deploy directly alongside customer teams, navigating deep ambiguity and turning complex, real-world operational workflows into production-grade multi-agent systems.

You’ll design, orchestrate, and deploy advanced agentic architectures using state-of-the-art frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain), deep contextual architectures (Knowledge Graphs, Context Graphs), and sophisticated memory models. We believe in "staying fluid": operating with high adaptability, rapidly pivoting based on real-time customer feedback, and bridging the gap between raw AI capability and mission-critical enterprise execution.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Technical Deal Arc: Take full ownership of the technical sales cycle—from initial discovery and in-depth demos to high-level architecture discussions with customer engineering leaders and hands-on Proof of Concepts (POCs) that drive deals to close.

• Architect & Build Multi-Agent Systems: Design and scale autonomous/semi-autonomous multi-agent architectures, including stateful workflows, tool-use loops, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms using LangGraph and LangChain.

• Win on Technical Merit: Define success criteria in partnership with the customer, manage execution trackers, and build the integration glue, agent workflows, and evaluation pipelines that prove immediate value. Focus on delivered impact over lines of code.

• Serve as the Trusted Advisor: Act as the technical decision-maker and "CTO in the room," guiding customers on AI production strategy and earning the credibility required to convert evaluations into signed contracts.

• Build Rich Context & Memory Infrastructure: Implement robust memory architectures (short-term, long-term, episodic) and context-retrieval systems utilizing Knowledge Graphs, Context Graphs, and hybrid search/vector storage to ground models on complex domain data.

• Stay Fluid & Build 0-to-1: Rapidly iterate on prototypes alongside customer teams, pivoting based on real-time feedback while converting bespoke solutions into reusable platform assets.

• Deliver Production-Grade Reliability: Ensure systems meet enterprise standards for latency, deterministic execution, observability (evals, tracing, guardrails), security, and control.

• Steer the Product Roadmap: Act as a critical field signal for the engineering and product teams. Use your first-hand insights to identify customer needs and production patterns, bringing structured, data-backed inputs that actively shape the roadmap.

What You Bring

• 8+ Years of Engineering Experience: Proven track record developing and delivering software architecture, with a heavy focus on AI engineering, intelligent workflows, or advanced product development.

• Agentic Frameworks Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience building complex workflows using LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom orchestration loops.

• Advanced Context & Retrieval Engineering: Practical experience implementing Knowledge Graphs, Context Graphs, semantic graph databases (Neo4j, Memgraph, or similar), vector DBs, and advanced RAG topologies.

• State & Memory Design: Understanding of stateful AI application design, including episodic/semantic memory, conversation state management, dynamic context trimming, and long-horizon execution.

• Design and Architecture: Comfortable leading an architecture discussion with a customer's engineering leaders, then doing the work yourself. High agency and a bias for action.

• Forward Deployed Mindset ("Staying Fluid"): Thrives in customer-facing, ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments. High empathy, strong product judgment, and the agility to dynamically adapt technical solutions on the fly without getting bogged down by rigid specs.

• Business Acumen: You don’t just question the how but also the why - discovering impact, architecture design and deal-winning opportunities.

• Full-Stack & Systems: Comfort operating across Python/TypeScript, modern React interfaces for AI interactions, and cloud API integrations (REST, gRPC, streaming connections).
